Also, I have a thread on it, but do you know if I do change my cluster out, does the new one read the mileage or do I need to swith out some kind of chip in it?

With those units, you swap over the electronics to the new one. Read the description carefully, it tells you everything. It should come with directions also....so it should show the same thing you have on there now.

Not sure on that one. But I know the last time I checked on getting a used gauge unit from my Uncle's salvage yard, it was $250.....
