Obviously I'm new here, and was wondering if anyone tweaked their auto suspension, or lifted more with it or not? I'm considering going up in tire size from the standard tires I received with the truck to either 35 or 37, and wondered if anyone had any helpful input on how the AS went with it, or if anyone ever removed that feature after buying.

I think you mean air suspension.

Only option for larger tires is a body lift.

Yes, air suspension. Thank you for clarifying that for me. Anyone have any idea how big of wheels I could go to with an extra 5'' lift on the truck?

As far as I know, you cannot lift the truck unless you rip out the Air Suspension (Others have done this).

PA body lifts makes a 5inch body lift kit, I've seen it online once... Idk if it was legit though

Ya I saw that on AutoAnything. The reviews didn't seem too bad and figured giving it a shot.

Whatever blows your skirt up in the wind my friend. Just be careful, I feel like a 5 inch lifting block on the body would be sketchy, but then again I'm the type if person who wouldn't even really do a 1.25" body lift unless absolutely necessary. To each their own

I think the 5" PA kit is 3" body lift and 2" leveling blocks. I have seen a couple equipped with air suspension running the PA 3" body lift. That will give you more room for bigger tires. Not sure if 35's would fit though.

35's fit on a 2.5" level kit so I'm sure they'd fit on a 3" body

On a truck without air ride, yes. But what about when the air ride lowers for highway travel? I don't know as I don't have one, but I'm pretty sure the truck drops for fuel efficiency. Can it be overridden? Does that OP care to loose that option if so.

I could be wrong, but I think that there's 4 levels of height with air ride that you can select? I don't think it necessarily drop on it's own

The levels are dependent on vehicle speed. You can't leave it in the tallest setting at highway speed and it does auto lower on the highway for fuel economy but that can be turned off

The air suspension was included, I honestly got lucky and didn't pay for it (now I wish that "free" feature wasn't included). A friend of mine who has the same truck took the fuse out of his fuse box in the truck and left it on high. Seemed to work for a while but a good mechanic friend of mine said that wasn't smart as the air suspension would probably go to crap on him. I thought it sounded like a cheap alternative but didn't seem safe lol

Also, the PA 5'' lift kit is said to be 5" all around, as per their customer service. So I get worse case is I return it

I had air ride in my expedition, and it crapped out and woulda been a 2500$ replacement. So I understand the possible issues later on down the road. But I looked at the 5" body lift again and it seems it is a 5" block kit like the 2 and 3's

Anyone know where I could inquire about removing the air suspension?

Or better yet, does anyone know what complications would come about a lift kit on top of the air suspension? This information is realllllllllllllllllllllllly hard to come by it seems, so I'm sorry to keep asking questions.
