i know you may not agree, but sounds like you triggered the panic button. i have done it a few times when it was in my pocket and the only way to turn it off is with the panic again which i forget when its going off...

Ill try to set it off with panic button and see if i can still turn it on. Had problem before where key fob had to be place near push to start to get key fob to start car. wouldn't let me enter car without pushing button to unlock, which worked. Also when starting it like cranks over then stalls and about 10 seconds of constant cranking and no start. 2 days ago said key fob not detect.

2015 RAM 1500 Black Sport. Mine did this the other night on its own when the truck was in the garage and had been turned off for at least an hour. The alarm/panic went off all by itself, the key FOB was not in my pocket, it was on the kitchen counter so there was no triggering of the panic button. I started the truck, backed it out of the garage, turned it off, popped the hood and began to disconnect the battery and the alarm/panic honking went off after about 1 x 1/4 turn of the nut on the black battery connect. I tightened the cable back down, closed hood, and drove it back in the garage. The honking would not stop by hitting the lock, unlock, or panic buttons on the key fob. This is the first time this has ever happened to me.

I recently had the hood replaced by Chrysler, and installed a Corsa muffler back exhaust system on my own last weekend. Maybe some loose trons? I re-connected the stock muffler grounding cable when installing the Corsa muffler.

Just weird this happened.

Grrrr this happened to me too! My key fobs rarely work, to get it to work, I have to open it up and take the motherboard out. When my truck doesn’t “detect the fob” I have to take the motherboard out and push any button a few times. The alarm went off twice in the last 3 weeks... dashboard lights flickering, lock button on outside handle left side work intermittently and the right side never. Yes, new batteries in the fob, twice, took my truck in to have my wheels swapped and headlight changed, they noticed the flicker, said it was a $1200 fix, apparently the recall didn’t include my truck????? even though it’s a 2014 ram1500 sport!

My truck is having this issue as well. Just recently started a thread on this.

Did you ever find out what it took to fix it?
