I just purchased this (got it open box for $390 shipping included). It’s a “no name” brand built specifically for American Trucks. Anyone have experience with this cover or similar covers built specifically for AT? Looking at the photos on the website provided by the link below, should I have any pause for concern or alarm (design flaws, etc.) before I get it installed?

I bought one and returned it the next day. One of the rails was bent, and it leaked something awful. When setting up the return, American Truck wanted me to keep it and refund me part of the money. I didn't want to spend that kind of money and have it leak. I ended up going with the rough country hard trifold and its built much better.

I have had the BackFlip F1 on my RAM since I bought it new in 2012. Love the BackFlip for its durability and great looks. Ordered to fit between the integrated RAM boxes on both sides of the box, it fits perfectly keeping the box interior completely dry and securely locked. Has worked great even in the -40 to -50 temps we get here in Canada. Great setup by BAK industries. A little more money to buy but worth the price. Comes complete with all hardware and instructions for installation.

That is very similar to the X-Tang cover guillory. I had an X-Tang on one of my trucks long ago, very nice and worked great. The only flaw was the design to hold down at tailgate was the poor spring clips. They worked as they were supposed to, but you could pry up the back over powering the spring clip. Any cover is not perfectly safe anyways so that was not a deal breaker to purchase. I have a BakFlip now, love the recessed fit as it makes truck look much smoother. The price of your new purchase is certainly worth it, good deal for you.

Finally installed. Not bad for under $400.

The only negative is the installer scuffed my truck up a bit putting it on. I need to buff out what I can over the weekend because it is really irking me. I also noticed that my bedliner is loose at the edges of my bad (see attached). Not sure if it is a big deal or how I will fix it.309443D8-3199-4E73-B36E-C0EE22C66FB0.jpeg
