Thought you folks might be interested in how an 81 year-old views his RAM. I have owned nearly 200 vehicles - to include many pickup trucks - a few GMs, a lot of Fords and recently a handful of RAMs. With the exception of a 1997 Power Wagon, my previous dozen RAMs have been 1994 through 2017 and my latest 2021. The 21 was ordered in July of 2020 from a small dealership in Litchfield, MN.
I researched the living hell out of things before ordering a 2021 Longhorn Limited, 1500, 4X4, crew, 5-1/2, std HEMI. Options were, sunroof, RAM boxes, split tailgate, off road, 392 ratio, bed cover, 33 gal and towing stuff. I purposely did not order those items I saw as potentially problematic - air suspension, power step bars, big screen and the goofy version of the HEMI. I can honestly say this RAM is the finest vehicle I have ever owned. The fit and finish are extraordinary and the interior is the finest. The operation, performance and reliability have exceeded my expectations. Because age has now crept up on my wife and me, the black RAM has been relegated to a garage queen status - next to our Durango RT, neither of which get driven. The RAM has never even seen rain. It is essentially new and will probably be our last pickup unless we can find another 4X2 single cab RT or maybe a nice Gen !!.
