I didn't want to hijack other threads. I have literally gone through every post on every F/I related thread relating to 4th Gens dating back to 09 over the past week. I have been taking literal written notes and learning tons off of guys like Charonblk07, I still am wondering what some of you would say.

  1. Seeing as I already have my own DS Trinity is it worth just getting the tuning kit and providing my own injectors?
  2. Would I save money If I just bought everything piece by piece and fabricated my own piping for the intercooler/supercharger?
  3. Is this something Hemifever can tune? Or should I be sourcing a specialty shop? (and who if thats the case, can it be done remotely?)
  4. I have a 65rfe, I want to upgrade or build it but there is not much information floating about, who's my best bet for the 65rfe?

1. tell whoever you order it from you already have a trinity and they'll knock the price of the tuner off and send you the tunes from Procharger.
2. If you find parts for a good price then yes, you will save money over a full kit. I bought a used kit for $2500 without the intercooler, piping, or injectors; for another $800 in parts I had a working kit.
3. Yes, Sean can tune these remotely.
4. Mike at L&M or True Street Performance, you can make a stock trans last if you drive it smart, at least until you feel the need for more power.

And now for my shameless plug, I will be pulling my bracket from my build so I can install my custom one I just started to design for my cog drive upgrade. I will have the bracket, idler pulleys, and a few required odds and ends for sale in a few months for $1K. All you would need is a head unit, which I've seen P1SC's go for $800-$1100 on eBay, and check out Treadstone Performance for intercoolers and piping, best pricing I've seen and where I got my stuff from.

sounds good man, I'm going to try and see if I can source anything used. I think I would rather the actual head unit be new but everything else I am going to try and find. I would rather spend 3k than 6k.

Not 100% sure on that, It all depends what pulley you run if my understanding of physics is correct. I think i heard 2000-3000?

Is it possible to purchase the bracket I need alone if I can source a cheap D1SC head unit, there is one for sale for 1800 on a diff. site that I would grab but I don't see how to get my hands on the mounting bracket..
