Anyone install a sport performance hood?

I bought a sport hood today for my 14 sport and brought it home before sending it to get painted. The two plastic bezels are in a seperate box with one long piece of two sided tape, does anyone know where the two sided tape goes and do the plastic bezels just snap in place? I'm installing the hood after it's painted and was concerned about the plastic inserts. Thanks.

I have a 13 sport. The plastic hood vents just clip in. I popped them out to plasti dip them and popped them back in. No tape at all. They snap in and are very snug.

It doesn't come with any instructions? Maybe the tape is to fasten the heat shield to the hood around the vent holes?

Maybe the tape is just to secure the inserts more it would ware off pretty quick if it is for that reason and need more support I would use a silicone adhesive

They just call it functional because it has a mesh grill

I ordered the mopar hood from the dealer, they gave me a good deal.

There's no instructions for the bezels.

The difference is that the Mopar vents aren't functional.

Me Too... I am in a toss up between the Mopar Sport and The RKsport hood.

Isnt this fiberglass verses oem metal? I want one too. How is the hood you orderd, heavy, please putup pictures after install

Problem with fiberglass is fit and finish is hit or miss and could need a lot of prep work before paint. Also hood pins are recommended for fiberglass hoods.

I ordered the factory aluminum sport performance hood and was concerned on how the plastic bezel scoops install, it seems that they set in the top and then the bottom clicks in. I'm not sure where the fibreglass hood comments came from. I got the oem hood. If anyone has had the plastic inserts in and out please let me know if ant sealant or tape was used.

If the insulation under the hood is stock originally, maybe they included the double stick for the insulation to mold upwards to hold onto the underside of the hood. (I think the sport sticks up a little bit) .

This is completely just a guess! LOL but...maybe?
