Me three. :happy107: I never could understand why vehicles don't come from the factory with headers. HP & torque gains without hurting MPG. If you are mass producing them I wouldn't think they would be much more expensive than regular manifolds.

I used Ebay headers on my old trans am and ended up having to beat them with a mallet and 2x4 to get them to fit. After that they were great. Lol.

A few guys tried them a while back and they fell apart. Welds broke and ended up costing more money, more headaches and more frustration. The metal is cheap, welds are poor and they are complete junk.

Well that sucks, did they talk to obx about it? Did they go good on them?

I’m not sure; it turned into a buyer-be-ware thing if I remember correctly. I think they only lasted a few months and then the welds broke.

Sounds like we need another guinea pig to see if quality has improved. Any takers?

OBX has always taken other people's work, and sent it to china to be made cheaper. Quality is never the same as mentioned earlier. We all want to save money when we can, but having to modify a $1000+ set of headers and worry about cracked welds just isnt worth it IMO.

I am obviously a big fan of ARH and run their headers on all of my trucks. I have never had a single fitment issue or cracked weld. They also come complete with quality gaskets, bolts, clamps, and all 4 o2 extensions unlike OBX. Those extensions are $25 each, Gaskets are another $50, bolts are another $50...when you add it all up, you arent far off from the cost of ARH, and are settling for a sub par header.

My advice is to stick with a quality, proven, American made header, even if it means having to save up a little longer to get them.

I am considering having this done after I re-gear mine. Did you install them yourself, or have a shop do it? I know on most vehicles they are a real bear trying to get them to fit.
