I snagged a set of rear coil spacers off of a guy who just went from a level lift to a full 6” suspension lift on his Ram. In a spur of the moment decision I installed them on my truck yesterday.
My questions:
1. About how much actual height will I gain if I redo my Bils from 2.1 to 2.8?
2. In your opinion, is it worth all that work to do so...again...
Current set up is 5100’s all 4 corners. Front at 2.1 and 39” from ground to center of wheel arch. Rear has the 1.5” spacers and is 40/40.5” ground to center of wheel arch.
So I went from dead-on level, added coil spacers, now I have 1” of forward rake. I have no intention of upping my tire size anytime soon. I just prefer perceived wheel travel versus stuffed-tire-in-fender look.
I welcome your thoughts and opinions...

Well if you are feeling brave you could take the front bils out and compress the springs with a coil compressor enough to get your fingers on that snap ring and move it without disassembling the strut.
I have no input on height gain though because even at the max setting my rear end is .25 inches higher

I know guys have done 1 inch rear spacers, with bills , not sure if 1.5 inch is good for you but would not mess it with any further,. Leave the one inch rake. when weight is added to truck bed, you will not be blinding folks with your headlights. and, honestly pure level looks ducky anyway, tends to look front high and dumb as hell.

Whats your perceived wheel travel now?
You could downsize your tires for extra perceived wheel travel, whatever that means.

It was a nice way of saying that I think trucks with the biggest tire possible stuffed in there look like crap. I like having 7-8” of gap from the top of my tire to fender.

I didn't say with them mounted lol, I said take the bils out, then compress the spring enough to move the clip up one notch

To answer the actual question... the 2.1 to 2.8 should bet you pretty much the .7 inch difference. So with that you would still have a slight rake. Maybe not enough to notice but enough that you shouldn’t look nose high.

Is it worth it?? Some people say that the final notch to 2.8 is where problems creep in with angles and such. It’s going to cost you a trip back to the alignment shop to at least get it checked. You know you are going to break something while you are in there too and be without a truck for a day or two while you track down that replacement nut lol.

After a week with it as is...I have decided to leave it alone. Having the 1” rake with my bigger wheels and tires is looking fine to me. I still have the visions of the truck stock when I bought it...17” wheels on SR-A’s with 3” of rake. The difference is night and day.
Thanks for all yalls input
