Auto start

Been reading about the auto start feature and yesterday after reading I tried my remote by hitting the lock button 3 times, and the dam thing started.

So does this mean the previous owner added something or is it an Easter egg???

I am the second owner...........

Sounds like an aftermarket remote start kit.

Many of the aftermarket brands use the OEM keyfob, and activate with 3 presses of the lock button.

Getting it without knowing, Sounds like a score!

Yeah, the OEM works on 2 hits, not 3. It is a handy extra though. Never thought I'd be saying that but it sure is pleasant to get in the truck and the heater is already working and the seat and steering wheel heaters are on, making driving a much nicer experience!
