Has anyone ever installed an aux fuel tank for gas pickups? I have done some for diesel trucks and plumbed right into the existing fuel necks of stock tank to keep stock tank full... was just curious if this can be done and done safely/legally with gasoline instead of diesel...

If it's been done safely with diesel, I don't see why gasoline would change anything.

Just make sure your evap system doesn't freak out

I believe that with gas you can't run the gravity fed system. My understanding is that it requires the use of a pump to pump the fuel... not 100% sure on that...

Sure, you need a pump to get the fuel from the tank to the injectors, but a gravity feed into the tank shouldn't be an issue

I am aware there is a pump from the stock tank to the injectors...

I am stating that I am under the impression that I cannot legally gravity feed from an aux tank to the stock tank...

Oh, I can't comment on the legality of it, I'm no lawyer. I wouldn't think the law would be any different though.

If you're just looking for extra fuel, check out Titan fuel tanks. I think they're working on a new ram tank
