Auxbeam 3 96W Dual Color LED Pods and Auxbeam BA80 Switch Panel

Good Day All,

I recently purchased a custom light grill from SKT Customs and would like to know what would be the best way to wire the multiple light pods to the Auxbeam Panel and still retain the functions of the lights. Each set comes with a power/function button, would it be possible to centralize that to a button on the panel for all?

Need to know the amperage you're trying to pull. If you want all the lights off of one button, you'll need to add all the amps together for total amp draw, and wire into a button that has at least 10% overhead from the total amperage: For example - if each pod draws 2 amps, and you have five pods, you'll need at least 11 amps (2x5 = 10, + 10% = 11) of circuit to wire all in together - this means you'll be limited to circuits 1-4 only. If you split them into two groups, you'll need at least 6.6 amps for the first group (3x of them) and 4.4 amps for the 2nd (the other 2) - so you can wire the first one into any of the circuits 1-6, but the other one can be wired into any position you want.

Keep in mind that you'll want to try to use the lowest possible amp circuits whenever possible so you have the higher ones for later expansion if you need it, but you will want to also keep a lower amp circuit available for something that is low current draw later as well... You can always move stuff later - but don't ever go below the rated amperage + 10% that your equipment on that circuit will draw, or you WILL run into blown fuses and issues.

As for the function button, you'd want to use the lowest amp circuits and set that button to momentary push. In the example above, you should be able to use one button as the function button for all the lights, regardless of if you split them into different groups. Note that the function button will only work while a set of lights is on and it will only change the function of that set.

I ordered a TackForm AS15 Assault Track Picatinny dash mount and the appropriate phone holder (for my phone, to the right of the switch panel) and PB11-DA - Assault Track (Picatinny) Base Mount. You'll need to jury rig it a little to get the switch panel to mount. Drilled a small hole just large enough to pass the connector through to the switch from under the dash and ran the cable over to the firewall plug where all the other wires come in. A fish tape/fish tool will help fish it through to the engine side.

I bought a custom 3D printed housing from Flipit3D and have mine stored in the front console
