Cylinder 2 misfire and generic P1757 code for me. Trucks not shifting. Gets stuck in 1st, 2nd AND after a few minutes it’ll manage to lock itself in 3rd. Getting from 0-35 in 30 seconds is real fun(sarcasm ). Checked the fluids which are good. I’ll probably drain some out. I think the trans is going BUT can’t replace that at the moment soooo. Let’s rule out all other possibilities while I sit on it, but a used 2nd or 3rd gen Camry *sighs*. It’s funn getting stuck at second though. Between 2k-3500 rpms the truck seems too...the best way I can describe it is the truck loses acceleration power. Then it’s kicks in again and 5500rpms and 60mph later it’s like sitting in neutral and hitting the rev limiter.

I’m at work so idk how much time I can play with her. Thankfully tomorrow is Saturday. Someone’s gotta go in but it won’t be me! Anyway I digress; I pull the cable from cylinder 2. Spark end I might’ve pulled off on removal. The distributor end has some fluid. Can’t make out the smell. But I think it’s just this. upload_2020-7-17_9-23-12.jpeg

I mean, you need to fix both issues, but stop driving it till you get that transmission code cleared up.

When / Have you ever changed the fluid / dropped the pan?

I changed the transmission fluid twice now but never dropped the pan. Everything going on with “life” right now(her cars acting up the boys sports) it never seemed roght for me to throw more money at the truck. Just under 10k of work into and I can’t tell the difference. It’s always needed a new transmission pan but never got to changing it as the lucus trans oil seemed to help. Fluids looked strong for the last few months and I’ve had to let some out from an over fill. Either way it’s a mute point. I’ve revitalized the Durango(practically a ram1500 with a different body style) and we are taking her car to trade in for a ram2500. Blue is getting scrapped. Tires sold separately. I’ll probably get more for those than what I scrap the truck for. Oh and I’m pulling the exhaust and throwing it on the Durango
