Anyone try parts from the 5th gens on the 4th gens?

I specifically am looking to measure my buddies bumper to see if it will mount up to my 4th gen.

The 2500 bumper fits since it’s still a 4th gen setup. Not sure 1500 bumper would fit as the frame is different. Not sure to what extent though.

Yeah, same bumper. I do like the look of the new rear bumper. The way the 4th gen bolts up is through flanges. I just need a weekend without work to get the measurements.

I’m sure there must be some interior parts that can be switched.

From the HDs I know the seats can be installed into anything newer than 2002, and the entire dash would bolt in as well I believe. Getting the dash to work would be difficult though lol

Since the HDs still use the old cab design i would imagine that most interior parts would fit any 4th gen

Yeah, probably need to be an electrical engineer to get the dash working. Would also be interested to know how well the axles would transfer over. Curious if the 6 lug would handle more weight and off road abuse.
