Howdy, y’all. I recently installed the Vice Designs Hidden Winch Mount and a Badlands Apex 12K (synthetic) winch on my 2017 5.7 Lone Star 1500.

Everything looks great, but I can’t seem to find a good control box relocation spot. It seems that this control box is larger than the Zeon 12S’.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

What did you end up doing for clutch relocation? Or are you having to reach under the truck to get free spool

I just bought a Used 2019 Power Wagon and the guy snaked the Warn off. I am mounting an Apex and will be relocating the control box as well. Was reviewing for options.

I just installed my winch and struggled with finding a decent spot too. Where the box is show in the photo, below that I have my air compressor mounted so that area is a tight fit.

I ended up just zip tying it down to the fuse box. I'll probably end up getting some velcro so I can easily pull the controller box off the fuse box cover if I ever need repeated access to the fuse location.
