Bakflip G2 issue

Has anyone ran into this? I noticed tonight on my G2 cover a gap at the rubber seam on the edge. Its almost like it was cut out... I've never seen this before. And the other seams have like 3m glue residue like its pulling out or something. Just not sure about this or what to do, cover is a few years old.

Looks like the rubber may be shrinking with age. Maybe contact the mfr to see about replacing it.

yeah that's my next process. Just curious if anyone else had this problem.

This happened to mine as well but it was under warranty so they replaced it.

Mine had done that the first cold day we had. Contacted them them and was told that was normal. Have since then taken the cover off and sold it as I had more water in my truck than when I had the cover off.

Found my original order, Jan 2012. So its officially 4 years old. Out of any warranty according to their website. For a $670 piece of equipment, I would have expected better craftsmanship. This sucks. Not sure how to proceed now. Its basically a cover for the dry seasons only now.

Just an update.... Contacted the manufacturer and they are sending me new seals free of charge. Not sure how difficult it is to change, but glad they are doing this.
