What drop do you guys run on a stock 2020? Uhaul suggests a 2 1/4” drop but my local stores only carry a 2”.

I suggest an adjustable. Bulletproof will work with you to get the correct unit. I have one in my 2500 and highly recommend. There are others out there, ship around for the one that works best for you.

Depends on the truck and the trailer style you want to hook up.

On my 3500 I run an 8" adjustable drop that allows level towing on my boat and car hauler. On the 1500, I have a 6" adjustable drop which allows the same level trailer towing for both trailers.

A quarter inch won't make an appreciable difference unless this is a really long trailer, so for Uhaul it will be just fine. The typical norm is 17" from the ground to the top of the ball. This of course can vary wildly, but again, we're talking about a Uhaul.

This.
Pull out a tape measure and look at what 1/4 inch is.

It’s a 2020 1500. It’s just to pull a 6x8 trailer around.
if you already have the trailer set it up so it's level and measure from the ground to the top of the coupler. Than measure from the ground to the top of your receiver on the truck. The difference will be your theoretical drop needed. Depending on how much rear end sag you get when you hookup you might need to adjust from there to keep the whole setup *generally* level.
