I currently have a drop in bed liner. I am planning on putting a tonneau cover on my truck. Should I have the drop in bed liner removed and put some Line-x in it or will in not matter with the tonneau cover?

does the bed liner wrap over the bed at the back of the cab? If it does it will interfere with the tonneau cover.

As for needed something back there....that is up to you. do you haul stuff in your truck? How much are you worried about the paint getting scratched off or the bed getting dented up?

LineX you pay for the name...while it is good its nothing better than a DIY Kit of Hurculiner and a good prep job...My Dakota I had a DIY kit and while its a pain in the ass it does the job...I looked into LineX myself and it was way to expensive...A local body shop does one that's called Raptorliner that's almost exactly the same makeup of LineX for 1/2 the price...IMHO...DIY...$100 and a few hours

You have to scuff up your bed to get it to stick and the rubber drop in liner will scratch the **** out of your bed eventually id say go with a bed rug very durable and if you sell truck you can remove it and sell it there are pics of them on here if you cant find yell one of us will repost.

Ever see the tag on a drop in liner from dealer? Yikes! Go for on off craigslist or something. That's my plan anyways

If you want to protect the bed, I would go with a bedrug. They are very durable and removable, so if you ever sold the truck, it could be taken out and sold also.

Local dealership quoted me $350 for the "Skid Resistor" with the rams head logo. I'd love to find one for cheaper, but I assume shipping would be a pain on those.

There is a place about thirty miles from me that does nothing but liners caps stuff like that. Maybe try to find something like that? My dealer quoted me over 400! Than they said it was a two hour minimum install Haha. For a drop in bedliner!

that's the best part of the bed rug. you can haul that stuff in it too. Then sweep it out, wash it out whatever you want.

Personal opinion. I had a drop in liner on my dak for five years hauling my dirtbike every weekend, scrap, wood, tires, much, concrete, stone, anything and everything. (i beat the crap out of that thing) and it never hurt it.
