Hey everyone, this may be a horrible question but I can’t find the answer it seems. I have a Ram 1500 classic with the 5’ 7” bed. I’m curious to know if anyone has tried to put the longer 6’ box on and if so how?

My first thought would be that the wheel base is different so it wouldn't be possible.

I don't believe the bolt holes will line up, and the new bed (6'4" I believe) would stuck past the bumper connection points so that you could put it back on.

Not only bolt holes but filler neck location would be different.

Get a bed extender and call it done. I have an AMP brand. Bought in 2011 and reinstalled on my 2016.

The difference in bed length is made up between in front of the axle, not behind it. So, no, a longer bed won't fit a truck with the shorter bed.
