Hey dudes,

I recently installed new EBC sport rotors and Greenstuff (6000 series) pads on my Ram. After the "urban driving" period of roughly 300 miles, I performed the bedding process tonight. The bedding process consists of 10 cycles of 60 mph, braking to 10 mph to intentionally heat the brakes, then driving an additional 3 miles to let them cool.

During the process, on about the 8th cycle, I was getting very little grab from the pads, so I did one more and started the cooling phase.....for those of you who have ever bedded brakes, is this normal?

It kinda freaked me out a bit when I started losing braking power. I've never bedded brakes before, so was just curious.

Is that EBC's process? I just put the Powerstop kit on my truck and it said to do something similar but to do it the first time I drove the truck.

Yeah, that's the EBC process. The 300 mile period is due to a break in coating they put on the pads. Apparently it takes 300 miles to remove it and seat the pad to the rotor. Then you bed them.

Yup...you will get some fade when the brakes are hot due to that many high speed stops. It's normal.

Copy that! I will say, that this morning going to work, the brakes performed very well, with great stopping power.... more so than before the bedding.

Can anybody please post pics of the EBC rotors after they have been on for a while. I want to see what they look like after lots of breaking. Is there any corrosion or rust visible from outside the rims?

Here's a few after a few thousand miles and 3 months of rainy weather.

Not sure what your looking for, but any rotor face rust gets removed as soon as you apply the brakes[emoji3]

That would be great. Thanks for the first pics, they look good. My main concern is the outer edges of the rotors and the part that is closest to the lug nuts. Mine are rusted and look bad. They are crappy oreily ones though

Here are this pics. I also posted them in your thread.

After approximately 9k miles:

....and about an hour after I washed the truck this evening (you will get slight oxidation, but it is removed during braking). The zinc hubs will not rust.
