painted myself. Took the bumpers off, sanded them (painful), primed then did about 4 coats.

Looks awesome! You must have taken a long time, it seems you did it the right way so it won’t peel or chip. Also, love the red hooks and Gadsden plate!

I have chrome and like it, classic look . But must say it makes your truck stand out in another level .Nice job and the red hooks sets it off really nice.

Definitely looks better, but imo only because your truck is a dark color. If it was a light color it would not work since it is not color matched. Again just my opinion

To each his own. I LOVE the fact my truck has all that chrome! Maybe it's because I am going to be 60 in a month and grew up driving vehicles with chrome bumpers and chrome wheels. Just never thought the blacked out thing looked that good to me or any monochromatic look for that matter.
