That's almost exactly what I did, except I added shredded poly from a pillow to get rid of the old plastic tuna casserole container sound.
Me too. It really makes a difference. I did the same for my Kicker Upgrade sub too.

Found this hack on another forum, and I went out and bought 2 Husky bins from Home Depot and a racheting cargo bar to keep them there. Cost was $40 and with a tonneau cover on, it's like having a small trunk in the back of your bed! And you can remove the bins and the bar in seconds if needed.

It's called polyfil. It's like synthetic cotton. If you have an old pillow rip it open and you'll have more than enough.

So the factory amp (I assume there is one) has enough to push the new Pioneer sub well?
No I did this mod and added polyfill and sealed it,it went from say 2/10 to 2.5/10, wished I spent the $ on a real amp

ventilation grills (to balance air pressure in the cab) few bits of wiring. not all the rear seats fold down. i think they can all be modded though in 4th gen to fold down if it really floats your boat. a lot of pple mount a sub amp on the back cab wall.

My sub amp is under the passenger seat, 4 channel amp behind driver rear seat on wall. I slid down plywood behind the pad that’s on the wall and screwed the amp to that so it wasn’t moving. 12 channel alpine amp and dsp under driver seat. But then again I also redid the entire Stereo. Most people aren’t going to do that. Also keep in mind the ohm rating on the factory speakers aren’t 4 ohm. I had to replace my door speakers with kicker 3 way 6x9 as the factory alpine ones were 2.5 ohm. I used crossfire amps for the sub and doors. The alpine runs those as well as the ceiling and Center and dash. Here is a pic of the subs.

I'm an old-school 10" sub woofer guy. I have built a box and installed it in every one of my cars except my RAM..... Why? Because the stock speakers are that good!
Or maybe I'm just turning into an old man LOL [emoji23]

Mine being a Tradesman trim level truck, the base model system being listed as only 6 speakers with no sub, it hits almost as hard as the factory Blaupunkt system I had in my 2005 GTO that DID come with a sub. It may not shake the seats of the car next to me, but it does more than I ever expected.

Just purchased full tint kit, all windows, pre cut to fit my truck. Being in the PNW, it isnt cheap to get your windows tinted in a shop like it is down south. Doing 5% for rear windows and 20% for the front. The way I see it, if I can apply a back drop to the back of my fish tank, then i can diy window tint lol. I'll post pics once i get it and installed

Follow the order instructions clearly. You need to input the vehicle info before you can add to cart

Just ordered one of these to replace the factory sub in my truck. Alpine system sounds fine, but I think the bass could be improved a bit on the sub side of things.
