While I'm not a fan of the lights (with my Reb, those tow hooks are staying put), I do love where you park your Ram, Bill...so classy!

Super clean. I was thinking about doing this but I couldn't find the right lights. Where did you get these from?

Amazon. I'm worthless at links so type in mictuning flush mount pods.
I startef with 18 watt and swapped to 40 watt. Much better. Had to get replacement tow hook covers as 40 watt are smaller and first holes too big

20180613_142948.jpg Stainless bolts on the rear differential cover... looks great! Can be had for about $7 and simple to do. 12 of them size 5/16 - 18 x 5/8 really dresses up Your rear end, especially after you paint it nice and fresh satin black...

what did you use for power cord?

Paid 84cad for the cam and 11bucks for the hardwire kit. Oh and 4$ for the wire tap which I used to tap the homelink for constant 12v.

I kind of regret not buying the dual front/rear cam now. Oh well. Let me know if you want a picture of how I wired it, its sort of nerve wrecking pulling down that overhead.

How did you route your USB cable?

Sent from my iPad
I got the angled usb to tap into usb plug in center Console. I didn't want to alter any oem wiring. Then made small hole in the RAM plastic insert under proclip mount and small notch in the mount to not pinch the cable.. it will be hidden if Iever put the little rubber piece back on to cover screw holes. Lots of space to snake it around radio.

So not sure how the newer trucks are, but my '14 2500 had the worst headlights on earth. I installed these LED's for $99 and holy moly, I went from having a marginal view of the front bumper to starting small brush fires.... 1000% improvement in night vision, and here in Alaska, those winter nights can get a tad long.....

Only issue I've had with these is I apparently didn't get them sealed real good and have a little condensation in the lenses now. At some point I'll take pull them, dry out the lenses and seal em up better.

Hi
Regarding the dashcam hard wiring, see below. I basically tapped into 12v feed from the homelink and tapped into the ground for the map light. I did it this way since there's a bit more room to work. Also the hardwire harness has a built in fuse.

Hope that helps!

There is company out there making harnesses that can be connected between your automatic darkening mirror and will give you 12 V power , don’t remember the name but I know they’re primarily made for radar detectors.

I would highly suggest retrofitting hids or led such as ones made by morimoto. It was one of the first mods I did and I love it but it definitely takes some work and time to do.

Thanks for the info Gero. I had projectors on an older Ram and I installed HID's in my Titan but I wasn't really happy with either setup. This was just a simple bulb swap out and other than a little condensation, I am really happy with the output. There's a chance the folks I'm following aren't so happy though.... Like I said, these babies light up night better than anything I've used before.
