New here from the Gulf Coast of Texas. We are trying to upgrade performance and improve the exterior of our 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins. We desire to see some of our Great Nation before it completely deteriorates or we loose our driving privileges. We are each 76 yrs old and like to smoke fords and gm!!! Will 20in. late model wheels fit this truck? Someone recommended a PAC brake for our western mountain states. We will install a Air dog next. We are trying to keep budget under 20K. Done for now. I’m sure something was left out! Regards Jona45

2001 DODGE RAM 2500
The 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 truck is going to have a lug bolt pattern of 8 X165.1 mm. This is a slightly uncommon lug nut size that is mostly used only on the 2500 and 3500 Dodge trucks.

8 lug 6.5 inch or 165.1mm ... Standard Offset

Reference Sheet

I did a quick check on the 2018 Ram 2500 wheels
Most of the specs are the same
An exception would be the Studs would be Metric
As long as you use your current parts & just change the Rim, you would still be using the 9/16ths size

When I had my 95 diesel, I installed Alcoa 16 aluminum wheels and taller tires. I wasn't a big fan of the 20 wheels, plus I love the looks of Alcoa wheels. If you check out the TDR (Turbo Diesel Register) I think you will find a lot of answers to your question. Good luck on your trip.
