Hey Gals and Guys,
I am looking to change shocks on my 2020 ram 2500 towing an 9k travel trailer using a WD hitch. My truck height is stock and I don’t want to change that. Looks like 5100s are for lifted trucks where as 4600s are for non lifted. From what I’ve read the internal workings are similar. Looks like they make a 5100 in a 0 to 1 inch lift. Any advantage you are aware of by using one over the other.
thanks in advance

Same shock really 5100s are adjustable and 4600s are not. For what your doing 4600s would be the way to go

Thinks again Dinky. In your opinion, I know the ticking sound has made its way around. My 2020 is just a YO With 9k miles. I don’t use it in the winter. It started ticking on a cold start about 2 months ago for a min or two. I’ve readmany opinions as to cause. Is there any reason I would not want to use redline oil to mitigate any potential damage to a truck that has two years left on the warranty? I will be using soon to tow my 9k travel trailer. I had a 2015 ram 5.7 with 52k that never made a peep. This whole ticking thing has me concerned. Thanks again
