I have a 2006 QC 4x4 and been searching and see many that level the front with the Bilstein adjustable shocks but what shocks do you purchase for the rear that make it level? I feel like the front will be higher at max and I hate my stock rear shocks anyway.

I got pretty much the same truck but 07 I think the bilsteins will set you pretty much level once they settle I have the procomp ss pro runners I was told that Bilstein makes them by the guy at 4wheel parts and once mine settled the truck set at level maybe still a little down down in the front

With the 5100's you bring the front up to match the height of the rear so there is no rear leveling required. I'd run 5100's for the rear as well.

This is much better info that I got from searching around. So when I am shopping for the rear 5100's, what does it mean when it says vehicles with rear 0" - 1" lift Part Number: 24-185783.

Bilstein 5100 Shocks - Bilstein 5100 & 5160 Series Adjustable Shocks - Read Reviews on Bilstein 5100 & 5160 Shocks

Can I use 1 inch blocks in the rear with these so I have a little rake to minimize sag when towing? Or is there something else to consider?

It means exactly what you said. You have 1" of additional travel meaning you can add a 1" spacer without affecting ride.

If you need pricing let me know. We got those them in stock :naughty:

I'm new here and hate to bust in with my own question but it seems related. I was considering the 5100 lift shocks and wondered if they can be used with a leveling kit such as hbs's 2.5? I was trying to lift the front enough it'd set level with and inch block in the back ( the trucks an 08 reg cab 4wd ). I wouldn't think i'd need to crank the shocks to the max but made to to a little. I don't know if it'd raise the front to the point it'd put the front at a bad angle. Any help to get there would be awesome thanks.

If you stack the blistiens leveled and hbs level i most likely will be to much of an angle and cause Axel problems. You could however use the shocks without lifting it much (plus the hbs), but then if you're getting the shocks why pay for the hbs level?

It sounds like most people would use either, but not both at the same time.

Can you get a rear 5100 to accommodate 3-4" of rear lift?

Anyone have a pic of an 08 body style reg cab 4wd with 2.5" leveling kit or the lift shocks? I'm torn between the two. I am going to get shocks regardless cause the truck has 60k on it, just wondering if there's really a difference in how it'd look if that 1/2" is worth the extra money.

Just don't set the Bilsteins at the max level and you will be fine. I set my 5100s at 2.1", which is the second to highest setting and left the rear alone. Now my truck sits perfectly level.

The avg rake on our rams is typically 2.75
2.1 will give most people a 1/2"-3/4" rake
I personally like some rake, but other dont and require to set it at max.

In the end, you all need to measure you truck first to determine what to set it at

Mine sets about 3/4 of inch maybe an inch lower in the front so I guess mines a freak but its all stock on stock 20"s with 33/12.5's without any issues.

How do you adjust the height? I may look into getting 4 to replace my rough Country shocks, and raise the front ones for another inch of height, and to even out the truck

Hello everyone.
Newer posted before now but been lurking forums for awhile.

I just got my first Ram and allready feeling the burn for leveling and bigger tires.
My ride is -04 3500 HD SLT and just wanted to ask if i should just level my ride with Dodge Ram Leveling Kit for 1994-2012 2500/3500 trucks
or go with the Carli Starter Suspension System for 03-12 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 in 3" and 6" lift kit heights

Can i level my ride with the starter kit just like the leveling kit or will it raise the tail end too ?
I would like to get the starter kit if it does the same than the leveling kit but adds better rear suspension.

If I am getting a 3 in kit from rough country what shock would you recommend? The 5100 for adjustable height? Or the stock replacement for the 2500 RAM?

Do you have the part number for these? And yours is a 6inch lifted bilstein? Do they make bilsteins for a 3 inch?
