black fogs

anybody ever took they're fogs out and painted the inside black if so what did it do to the light output?

Unless you retrofit projectors inside them....blacking out the reflective fog housing will turn the light output to ****.

Exactly. It will not be able to reflect. I've tried this with a 50% black to murder out a friends truck and even that basically rendered his fogs useless.

Plasti dipped the inside with black then gloss. Retrofitted cheap MH1 bixenon projectors and called it a day.

If you're just after looks, it would be fine; If you are after any actual functionality, you can't paint the reflector.

If you do paint the reflector, remember that it will get hot.

I did them. I put green painters tape on the reflector and come to find out the tape pulled the chrome off of the reflector so I had to do the whole thing .it's not too bad the light output did change a little. I painted them with the silicone spray that you put on header wrap it should hold up well it does look good though it will look better when I get my factory black Mopar lights in they should be here by Friday.
