Need help I guess....
Low beams were DRLs... original bulbs, no led yet
I have LED fogs and they work great and always did, and "fogs" set to LED
I tried to change the settings I thought to make FOGS DRLs and now I have none.
Included my log file...
What is wrong please???

Won't having the fog lights set as LED manage the correct voltage for fogs as DRL?
I believe the LED settings is for the bulb out detection. There is also voltage settings for each of the sets of lights.

Enabling this might help:
DRL Configuration: No DRL

Also check the radio because there maybe the option to turn the DRLs On/Off

YES, and mine are turned ON... however, maybe my low beams are a fixed default or something???

I'll try your "no drl" tomorrow and see if that's it...

BTW, I'm having a hell of a time getting a FRESH log file???

Reading it? Or saving it? If the later, you might need clear out any old ones in the destination folder. Also if on Android, in the devices Settings menu, select Apps, then AlfaOBD. Clear the Cache memory, then force stop the app(it will restart when the app gets opened back up).
I want to say with the Gen4 trucks, the Canadian spec'd trucks would sometimes have issues with trying to move the DRL location.

I changed the settings on my 'made for the Canadian market truck' to optional DRL and added the CSM setting.

It works as designed without any problems. I can enable or disable DRLs through the Uconnect.

I've also successfully coached several gen 4 owners to choose their preferred DRLs using this same process.

What experience have you had with Canadian gen 4 trucks not cooperating?

Before you start tweaking the settings, can you confirm what you have tried?

Have you tried the configuration set to optional DRL and the other settings I linked above?

If yes to the above, did you check the voltage settings for the fog lights?

Fog lights won’t work as DRL’s on 5th gen 1500’s. The only options that work as DRLs on 5th gen 1500’s are low beams, or turn signals.

Yes, voltage is 12
But now Jimmy says I'm pretty much screwed so I guess I'll try to go back to low beams and forget all this

Are your front turn signals LED?

My truck uses the signal lights for DRLs, and the LED are very bright.
When I see oncoming Ram trucks using signal lights as DRLs, they appear to stand out better than low beam headlights in bright sunlight, AFAIC.

I drive primarily in rural areas. The appearance of signal lights used as DRLs may not be as apparent for city driving. Try them out for yourself and decide.

YMMV

Yes, switchbacks, however, I cannot find a good fit for my truck that has a bright forward facing lens
It's weird but not even Lasfit has a bright white switchback.... all bulbs I found all have caps on them with side lights only... also my socket is a certain kind that requires a CK Socket

That looks like the price you must pay if you want switchback LEDs.
Are you using clear aftermarket signal light housings?
What is the purpose of using switchback LEDs in signal lights?

I use the following LED bulbs in the reverse lights.
They project straight back very well.

The daytime running lights (whatever you have them set for) will not come on until the vehicle is in gear. If the truck is running but in park, they wont turn on. You may very well know this, but thought i would toss that out there…it had me baffled when i changed them to the side marker lights years ago.

I'll try that again before switching back to low beams but I did choke the tires in 'drive' and I had nothing... I also look at the rear of other cars while behind them to make sure my lights are working... I got nothing.

I'm surrendering to what Jimmy said, my truck might not be capable of fogs as DRLs
