I traded in my 2019 1500 for a 2019 2500 Diesel for better towing, but I really miss the Blind Spot detection of the 1500 that'd automatically detect and extend it's range when towing a trailer.

I noticed that the 2500 doesn't have that feature :(, and yesterday when I connected my trailer for the first time I discovered that the Blind Spot detection is turned off when a trailer is connected!!! I understand why (unwanted detection of the trailer and/or not detecting when a vehicle is beside the trailer).

I notice that the 2020 2500 DOES have the trailer-detection feature, and I was wondering if anyone knows if that can be retro-fitted to a 2019 2500? I'm going to contact RAM, but thought I'd try all you guys first.

I did the same, '19 1500 traded for a leftover '19 2500 and I too was very disappointed that the blind spot detection was inactivated when a trailer was connected. Has anyone found anyway to put the same system from the 1500 into the 2500?

I think they do these incremental upgrades just o entice buyers to move up year after year.
