My dad blew the rubber brake line in the rear...the one that goes from the frame rail to the splitter piece mounted to the rear axle housing. I replaced it, then went to bleed the drivers side and the bleeder broke. Soooo, i changed that caliper to make life easy instead of trying to get the old screw out...but i was wondering if theres any special procedure to bleeding the rear brakes since it has ABS. Ive heard you need a scanner and stuff to do it rather than just bleeding them and calling it done. Its an 04 Ram 2500 Hemi with ABS, discs all the way around. Single rear wheel.

As long as you didn't replace an ABS pump or master cylinder, you can bleed ABS brakes normally...just start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder, working your way closer to the master.

How much fluid did you lose? If you emptied out the system you might need to bleed the ABS pump, but it isn't the end of the world. Yes, you need a DRBIII or DRB emulator to do it.
