Hey guys ok so I’ve been dealing with this for some time. So the previous owner of my truck I guess tried to replace the rear brake hose on my truck right and broke off the vent bolt for the hose in the rear end. Well instead getting it fixed right the ram a brass t and ran the metal brake line to it. So therefor I don’t have a rear brake hose. Is this effecting my brakes at all? I would like to get it fixed but idk how I’ll get the vent bolt out help please

Ok that should be relatively easy to fix. Do you still have the bracket up on the frame? Soak the bolt on the axle in your favorite penetrating oil for a few days

It shouldn't be affecting your brakes currently, assuming they work. The problem is the metal lines are not meant to be bending/moving/vibrating like they are as you drive and the suspension cycles, so the concern would be that they eventually fatigue and crack, and the end result at that point could be NO brakes. So I would recommend buying the correct brake lines and hose to replace their "fix".

It’s broke off flush in the axle housing.
