Was mudding last night and I think I snapped my front hub drivers side. Trying to figure out what parts I'm going to need to replace. I think it's called the cv axle but I'm not sure. Truck runs in 2w just fine. Also this morning a snowstorm came in and either my starter can't roll because the mud is froze up around it or maybe it shorted out Whoops! I think I'm going to beef up the front axles since I am going to have to replace it anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Spray off ALL mud and make a appt. with the dealer and get it replaced under warranty.

^^Agrees. Take to dealer have covered under warranty. Unless you're really determined into get something aftermarket for the axels.

If you broke a cv you would know it. They still spin even in 2wd so it still would be clunking around.

I had the exact problem. But not on my ram. Rather on my atv. Cv axle broke. Bike would only spin on 2wd.
