I did a little searching couldnt find anything, hopefully this hasnt been asked already a million times.

My funds are shorter than I thought. Originally planned on cashing in on my warranty, bank didnt like that much. lol. So now I have $1000 instead of $3000.

I was thinking id just turning off EGR DEF stuff for now and leaving stock systems until I get more money. Does it work that way? I know id still have to pay for a tuner and a straight pipe.

Should I just wait and save my money, or has anyone got any recommendations? I dont want to waste money or time on something too cheap. thanks.

Tuner of your choice with some basic tuning given your budget, and a delete pipe and you'll be fine. Its all you need, the rest is just bonus and $$

The only thing I'd try to add if I were you is trans tuning along with your engine tune. As far as the EGR goes, you don't HAVE to remove it, tuner will shut it off and you will be fine,

Thats what i was thinking. But it seems like i cant find a good tuner for under 1200. Then by the time you add a delete pipe your at 1500. Maybe i otta talk to the local diesel shop.

A local diesel shop may advise you but they won’t do the work as it is illegal for them to remove the emissions stuff. Reach out to South Texan on here, he’s got lots of experience with the diesels and deleting and tuning, you may also find more info on a diesel forum than here, not to many diesel guys on here. You can tune with out removing any of the emissions stuff, i guess it all comes down to what ur goals are.

South texan is a good dude. Helped me a lot. I just dont wana keep bothering him. I guess as far as goals. Just start by tuning it out then slowly doing the deletes as I get more money.
