Just an FYI guys......

The 2013 8 speed transmission is now supported via the Bully Dog 40430 tuner.

They also said, if it needs the update and you are unable to do it, they will assist with you over the phone and walk you through it or load it on with access to your computer.

I know there were bugs when the initial 2013 launch and many of which has been ironed out with the last update.

But I have been given this info from 1 of our BD rep's that I am confirming from our other, more reliable rep. Not saying the rep who told me this is not reliable....he is just newer to BD...lol (still knows his stuff, but always good to double check)

Just a heads up until confirmed twice

THAT was quick! Someone jump in and buy one...

Oh I know.....but my other question to my rep is:
Have they ironed out all the kinks to make this a great transition to the 8 speed?

Im assuming yes, but awaiting his call

But if anyone wants to get on this, let me know.
I will give a 'trial/tester' RF member price

BD is aware of what happened with the 6 speed and is looking to help 8 speed owners get it loaded correctly if it becomes a challenge

They said their testing went well. But Im sure that was the case with the 6 speed too.

But without users, they wont know

Again, BD is jumping in with 2 feet to make it seamless.

Received confirmation from my rep that, this is legit!
And the last revision sent out recently does support the 2013 8 speed ram

He did say that majority of the issues tied to the 6 speed has been ironed out and rolled over to the 8 speed, but there are still some very minor issues still in the works. But nothing to affect the overall feel, tune and features.

He will get back to me with those specifics when his engineer is back in office.

But he was told confidently from his engineer that it is as solid as what the 6 speed guys are now experiencing.

Just spoke to him and he said that it will turn of TC and remain for the duration of the tune, till the tune is removed or you revert to another and then you do the same and turn it off

I did question numerous times if it stays off as the Diablo operates differently

He did confirm yes, but I did get him to call me back once he speaks with his engineer. This way, what I just said is 100% concrete

My last update was in the first week of May. I will pull my chip tomorrow and see if there's another one out there.
Really do like the gains I've seen as is.

BD Review. I installed my Bully Dog a week after I bought my truck in early June. I have the 6 speed trans FYI. The last update I did was in July. It works great since the last update. More power, better throttle response, no codes and the trans shifts almost as good as a shift kit. This was my biggest complaint when I bought the truck was the way in would slowly slide into the next gear, now it jumps!! Another great feature is you can select shift points. I have my 1-2 and 2-3 shifts set at 5960 because the rev limiter max is 6000 and I dont want to hit the rev limiter. I also am running fog lights with highbeams and turned off the seat belt chime. I also shut off TC but remember ESC will still kick in. It seems like some TM is removed in the tune but there is no way to manually adjust TM or throttle response. Nor can you fully disable ESC like you can on the older Diablo sport. Well worth the money IMO.
