Cams for a 2013 4.7

I understand the 4.7 was discontinued in 2013 and not many preformance parts are available, but I'm interested in cams. Iv seen many HO cams on gen 3s and was wondering if cams would be worth it? Has the engine changed at all where HO cams won't work? And if any one knows a good place to buy some?

At one point, before he became insanely busy, he was suggesting re-grinding stock 4.7 cams to a more aggressive profile
Not sure if he was starting with donor 07 cams or the newer 08+
Curious if he ever did any?

The 08+ 4.7's already have the HO cams.When the heads were redesigned and the power levels went to 310hp they also got the hotter cams. There were a few reground stock cams done for the later 4.7. Hunt up Nick at Air Ram,he's probably your best bet for info on your later 4.7.He used to have a kit to put the earlier Ford Eaton blower on the early 4.7's and supposedly it'll also work on the later 4.7's,might be worth tracking him down,and picking his brain. You can get close to 250 rwhp out of the later 4.7 with the easily available bolt-ons .If you're 2wheel drive,i'd look into a set of 4.10's ,if your 4X4 anything deeper then 3.92's will start to get expensive,odds are unless specially ordered you'll have 3.55's. Apparently it's possible to put the 8 speed 8HP70 tranny behind one now.Contact Russell at Sound German Automotive for that one.From what I've heard it's about 2G to put an 8 speed behind one if you supply the tranny,if he supplies the tranny it's closer to 4G.

I pulled 244rwhp from my old 13 on a Mustang dyno,and 250rwhp on a DynoJet dyno.
