Has anyone ever used them to purchase wheels and tires? How would you rate them when it comes to how they mount the tires and install the sensors?

I ordered headlights from them once, had a terrible experience so I'm not ordering from them again. I've heard other people say they like carid but don't know anyone who bought wheels from them.

I've ordered led lights and and minor stuff but I'd rather go to a local custom shop for rims and tires

I recently tried to order replacement fog lights and spoke to the rep here before purchasing thinking some form of discount. He said he should be able to get something for me. I call CARID and they say they really can't do anything, then I say screw it and ask them if they have the fogs in stock... they reply Yes and it was available online as well showing in stock. I order and within 24hrs get a email saying the driver fog light are on national backorder for 4 weeks. I was like WTF and canceled my order but couldn't as the pass side already shipped. So then I placed my order on amazon. This was the 2nd time that I placed an order for these fogs, one on ebay and then CARID, both said in stock then said they were on backorder. How hard is it to keep correct inventory!?

In a nutshell I won't be ordering from CARID again.

i'd price around on wheels, i've seen prices vary by quite a bit through the years...bottomline do your homework for your best deal!

I've placed many orders with CarID and not had any problems - even with returns and replacement. FYI don't buy Spec-D or Spyder headlamps as I had 2 each and they are junk, CarID replaced them and finally refunded my money without a hitch. As far wheels and tires go... defiantly price around, you will more than likely get better pricing local and won't have to pay out the ***** for shipping on all that weight. Just my 2c

I've only tried to them once for some side steps. Ended up finding the exact same steps on another site for a better deal, and CarID wouldn't match the price, even though they claim to. They eventually let me cancel my order and refunded my payment, but the rep I talked with made it a hassle and very frustrating. Seemed like they made it easy to take my money, but hard to give it back.

There's a slim chance I'd use them again, but it depends on the item, and some definite shopping around before hand.
