I would hope that the prices aren't that crazy, it's a pretty simple process that should only take about a half hour to strip, cut, and cover. No big deal... Your highest cost should prob be the actual leather if your getting something nice. My mother upholsters for a living. Mainly for yacht companies here on the east coast, but as that industry is slowing down, she is diving into home and auto also. I'm curious so I'll ask her what she thinks...
