So last weekend I serviced my 2016 Ram 1500 8 speed automatic transmission.
Everything went well and has seemed fine since the service. But now today, driving to pick up a part and then home from work, there is a very audible (window down)
Ticking or chatter or clatter coming from what I’m guessing is below the cab or near the firewall.
I had a chatter sound before. Something about the variable timing with the truck. Changed the oil and it went away for the most part. This sound is different. Changes with acceleration or deceleration. Goes away completely if the truck is shifted to neutral or down shifted with the gear down button.

This truck is making me nuts. 103,000 miles and it’s one thing after another.

Any help or suggestions? Thank you in advance.
