Who has removed theirs? Even with a 2" leveling kit on my truck I don't like the look of that thing and am seriously thinking about removing it

I assume it is the plastic air dam under the bumper.. On a motorcycle we call them Chin Spoilers. Now will wait to see if I am right and win a cookie :O

Do you mean the air dam (piece with lights being installed in it in the picture below)?

I wish it looked better without so I could stop replacing them. Mostly there for fuel economy, but to me it looks weird off.

It’s also hangs down lower than it needs to in order to cover the crash bars, which are the two vertical steel squares hanging down behind it. They prevent the 4x4 trucks from driving up on top of another vehicle.

Having said that, FCA makes another version of this deflector without the vertical lip on the bottom. Search for p/n 5182354AA, there are some on eBay. You’d probably have to remove the crash bars if you replaced yours with this part. This p/n is for HD trucks, not sure about the 1500s.

Took mine off when I originally installed my bull bar.

However, I later reinstalled it when I added the winch, and relocated the bull bar.

Mine is all scratched up and I can't get rid of the scratches, so it's more than likely outa there. Does it unbolt? Or are there parts that must be cut off

If I recall correctly, it was two or three bolts, about 6 or 8 plastic push pins and, on mine (sport bumper) an old fashioned rivet at either end that needs to be cut off or drilled out.

If I remember correctly(it was a gift from my wife), the bar was right around $100+- .
The original mounting instructions have the bar coming out under the bumper, which required cutting(or in my case, removing) the air dam/chin spoiler. When I built the mount for my winch, I incorporated new mounts for the bar to raise it to the middle of the bumper.
