How well does it work on restoring older black trim? As compared to something like say Aerospace 303? I use that on my dash and it lasts for months but it doesn't come off as particularly shiny.

I use 303 as well and I find it's more of a cleaner and protectant. I use it now only for my interior.

Mine were looking faded and I did one treatment. You may need to do an additional coating or two. Here's what my truck looks like after a couple weeks. The pics are mirror, front bumper, and bed cover. It doesn't attract dust like other brands I've tried. You can also put it on the chrome and it stops it from getting that light coating of rust. The pics below are using wolfgangs exterior trim sealant.

Sorry for thread jacking OP.

How long does the 303 last in the elements? I've been tempted to try it on some of the exterior trim but I figured it was like Armor all in that it would wash away pretty fast, not to mention its pretty expensive stuff. Also are you using the stuff in the white bottle for boats or the automotive version?

I found 303 didn't last too long for my exterior. I did the tonneau cover (vinyl) and I got 1-2 weeks before it went dull, but they advertise it as giving a matte finish. I use the aerospace protectant (white bottle). It's great for interiors, and keeps the interior looking good for quite some time. Wolfgang has an interior trim product which I haven't tried. I find the 303 is pretty good and has the UV protection. I use it as a cleaner and it gets dried up dog drool off the plastic door panelling that has dried on for quite some time without much elbow grease. I wouldn't use it for exterior trim anymore.

The pics posted earlier are using the Wolfgang exterior trim sealant. Just wanted to clarify that. It's the only thing I'll use on plastic/metal trim. The biggest thing is it doesn't attract dust like the armor all stuff and I've heard Maguire's was bad for that as well.
