i'm in love, actually keeps traction longer than posi did. probably because with posi, power doesn't transfer until one wheel is already slipping, where as my detroit locker, the only way one could slip, is if they both do. really feels alot firmer to the ground, but we will see how i like it once the snow flies. lol

well glad you like it man! I may just end up going with that since its something a diy-er can do vs having a professional do it. Although now that the old girl is gonna be a street demon I guess it would only be helpful at the track. Still saving up for those 4.54's though.

Okay guys, sorry to dissapoint but we got a late start on the shackles, and hit a snag and had to button her up before night hit. The bottom bolt on the stock shackles wont come out because its so long that it gets jammed up against my hitch...so we have to postpone for another day when Ill have time to take the hitch off. If it werent for the hitch we would have prob finished in 30 minutes...damn snags..

I ended up cutting some "access holes" with a torch. A nice sharp hole saw and some ear plugs will suffice.

how much and often do you tow?

my suggestion, those bolts for the hitch can be a royal PITA. get some PB blaster and a propane torch. try it with the PB plaster first, if they won;t budge, heat the nut up with the torch and they will cut right off. (careful not to touch the hot metal and watch for wires) the torch will expand the metal nut, allowing that bolt to com out easily. PB blaster is flammable, so if you don't clean up the PB blaster, be warned it will flash up real quick, so be mindful of wiring, fuel tank, stuff like that. wal mart has the torches in the their plumbing section for $15. or use your air tank and impact gun. those hitches are pretty easy to take off, i would just do that...

well, considering the hitch has to go so I can put the role pan on, I might just take it off and leave it off.

at some point I am gonna prob need to get the street scene low profile hitch.
