Cold air intake

I’ve just installed a cold intake bought online for my 5.7 hemi, the truck sound great but I’ve noticed loss of power and at WOT takes a bit to respond. Seems like sucking too much air. My question is... is causing that because is unknown filter, maybe really cheap or the best way is put the stuck filter box back with a K&N panel filter instead a cone?
