Alright so I'm working on repairing a badly damaged spot on my paint and I got some of the Duplicolor Perfect Match Paint. After 2 days of prep, sanding, and building up primer, come to find out that the paint doesn't match. My truck is Bright Silver Metallic with the paint code PS2, and the can of paint i got says that it duplicates Chrysler colors and has the paint code PS2. It is about 4 shades of silver too dark. I need this done before Sunday morning so does anybody know of a paint that will exactly match? And before anybody asks I have been painting for many years successfully so its nothing I'm doing thats causing the paint to not match.

ps2 is a bad color,it has many variants. That color code is on almost all dodge vehicles ,caravans, trucks. They all vary a shade here and there unfortunately there is no paint that will match perfectly.

Your best option might be to go to a store that sells auto paint and look at their test chip samples. if you find one you like they can usually put it in an aerosol can for you,it usually cost around 20-25 bucks

Thanks for the response, i figured that their could be some variation by models and by my OEM paint fading because at no point in its life has it been in the shade. Next weekend I will be driving an hour to a place that can laser scan my paint and make an exact match and put it in a bucket for me. I may end up having a lot made as every single panel is badly scratched, and we have a paint booth in our shop to do vehicles, so we may as well re-do the whole truck
