Could this be the tick culprit?

That's interesting ... The sound of the bad lifter in this review is very similar to the hemi tick sound in the engines...

I wonder if all of us with ticking engines are experiencing this issue, and basically it means that the lifters are wobbling too much and that's what making this noise, right before the lifter finally seizes up and chews up the cam

I don't have that year model truck so I don't have the lifter tick myself, but a couple of buddies that do have it swear by that Rev X oil additive. You'd have to really love the stuff to buy it all the time. It's like 30 bucks at my Napa. Too rich for my blood, for 4oz of whatever it is, but those guys use it at every oil change.
