In another thread I started, I talked about my search for tow mirrors to replace the small flag type mirrors I have now. Have you tried towing with these attached yet? If so, how do they work for seeing around something like a camper? I'd take a set if I can't find the tow mirrors, but, I'm curious if these spot mirrors might not work well for towing.

Atomicglock,

Yes...I towed a 16' enclosed trailer last week 4 hours through heavy Seattle traffic last week. And I loved them. Now, bear in mind...these don't magically make your mirrors stick out farther, but what they did do is...I could position my stock mirrors a little more inbound...so I can see the side of my trailer, and my trailer tires (If I get a trailer tire blowout, I want to know about it ASAP), and with the blind spot mirrors attached, I have a great field of vision in that area that would normally be blind. I loved them. For once I didn't feel vulnerable when towing.

Now, do I wish I had those big tow mirrors...absolutely! But, most of us can't afford to give up major $$ to get them, and the modifications that come with changing them out.

I have a 2014 Big Horn 6.7L and one of the two gripes I have about the truck is the small mirrors.

Not happy with any other solution, I decided to make a custom fit Blind Spot Mirror...and I love it.

Question: Is there a market for this or am I the only one who would enjoy a custom fit blind spot mirror?

put me on the list for a set

I hope you decide to manufacture these , I'll also take a set.

Stony

Stony,

I am certainly going forward with it. This is the final week of fine tuning the design before the moulds are made. It is always a process...in which you wish it would go faster...but in the end I know it takes time to make a quality, good fitting product.

Keep in touch...I will keep posting updates as time goes on!

Can't wait for this. I was just about to jump aboard tow mirrors.. I don't tow, but i like OEM looking blindspot mirrors.
In my 2011 Ford expedition, i splurged and bought OEM 2012 mirrors with blindspot mirrors, helped alot with driving a big vehicle.

In my 2014 Dodge Durango, i splurged and bought OEM European Convex mirrors with blindspot. Definitely improved over regular mirrors.

Haven't found anything yet for the ram, was maybe a few months away from buying the tow mirrors from 1a. Hoping for your product soon. I like my powerfold, and i like my dimming drivers side mirror hah.

Is there any picture of this? I bought my truck used and it came with smaller mirrors on the mirror... they work amazing. I always wondered if stock or aftermarket though... they look factory like.

Hi Wade. Don't know how I missed this thread. I remember a conversation awhile back and you mentioned something about the mirrors. I kinda forgot about it till I just read through the thread. So it looks like I'd like a set of these too. I don't have and didn't want the tow mirrors that come on the 1500 Ram. Reason was that I wanted to have power fold and on the 1/2 ton, and if you get the tow mirrors, then no power fold. Seems really odd to me, because the '15 HD truck do have power fold tow mirrors.
Plus, I know it will be a great product, as your phone holder is. Add another to the list bud! Bob F

Bob,

You are always so good to me! We need to catch up soon. I sure hope Lucy is doing well!

Tonight I approved the final design of the mirrors and now we are just working on a couple small details. Hopefully they will start making the molds the first of next week!
