Yup, that's right, both of my CV axles were shot after just over 50k miles. I heard a popping noise going through a drive-thru yesterday and figured it was a wheel bearing going out. Jacked up the front when I got home and it wasn't a wheel bearing. I then spun the wheel and realized it was the CV. Jacked up the other side just to check....was amazed to find that the other CV was popping and was bad as well. I guess that's the price you pay when running a 2.5" level kit and 35" tires....a lot more stress on everything.

I got about 38000 miles out of mine with bilstiens on 2.8

My truck just rolled over 38000 miles not to long ago. I've replaced, ball joints on both sides, and inner tie rods and now outer tie rods for the second time.

Add all that to a wheel bearing that just started making noises. alternator went 10,000 miles ago, and now my battery barely starts my truck.

Had a transmission grenade on me, next transmission after that failed but not as violently (just stuck itself in 4th gear).

2 exhaust manifolds (studs broke), then a cracked developed in my y pipe.

Had one u joint go in the drive shaft.

Blower motor failed

Had a radiotor hose fly off about 2 days ago and completely drained my truck of coolent.

I love my dodge...

Ill be honest, I never had a issue with my ford before that, this think has been nothing but trouble. It has 62,000km on it now (38,000 miles) its a 2010 so its not 2,000km out of warranty. I will not be keeping it. I will never buy another Hemi truck.

I want a new cummins next, since i love the dodge interior and styling, but I just cant bring myself to purchase a new one, and chrysler corprate wouldn't even get my a rental car after the second transmission, basically told me to call my insurance and get one from them... I see a powerstroke in my future.

Both are modified suspensions--modestly mod'd but mod'd nonetheless. No wonder Chrysler is so **** about modifications--they didn't build 'em tough enough. We all already know the trannies aint worth $__t. :wtg:

CV's on front axles have been an issue in the past IDK how my 3rd Gens I've worked on that had torn CV boots or lots of play but it was a ton with lower milage. My brother has done a couple sets on his 03 now too and think he has only put on 30k since he bought it.
