Got my new molded dash cover and the Velcro strips ain’t working good, should I get more Velcro or maybe a dab of silicone will help? Any tips would be appreciated.

Did you get the ulti-mat? Once you lay it out on the dash in the sun it should settle down and fit like a glove. When you place the velcro, you need to clean the dash of any oils or preservatives before trying to attach the velcro. The sticky won't hold if the dash surface where you place the velcor isn't cleaned off first.

Please post a picture of what you have curious to see it!

Ditto on making sure the surface is void of any oils etc, I thought it was clean and in a couple spots the adhesive on the Velcro wouldn’t stick. I didn’t wanna wait the 8 weeks for a Ultimat, I will when I purchase one for my Mustang. I’m not sure how picky I should be, in one corner by the right side gauge cluster edge and the left side AC vent the dash cover wouldn’t fit tight like a glove or flush? I purchased the molded dash cover from CoverKing, same price and had it in less than two weeks, here’s some pics after I put oodles of Velcro I purchased today and in a couple spots put silicone in corners. The first pic I angled the camera down, the cover isn’t obstructing view of the gauge cluster.

Here’s a better dash pic, the black tape is where I put a spot of silicone underneath the cover and the tape is holding the cover flush while the silicone takes.

Looks like you made it work pretty well. It appears to fit. It's bigger than mine, so it's protecting more of your dash. The main thing that matters is if you're happy with it it's doing the job!

Yep, I’m satisfied with this cover. I didn’t know the Velcro tape wouldn’t be enough, now I know for the next cover for the Mustang that I might have to use a little spittle of silicone on the corners and end flaps to get that tight connection that I want, BTW I like your cover, there’s less material but areas near the AC vents look better fitting, the upper glovebox material isn’t a game changer for me.
