Dash Removed. Suggestions?

Ramfam,
So im about to switch my plastic dash panel out with the leather and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of things i should look/ check out while its off? I know theres some ac portions i may need to double over but not sure if theres anything i need to go ahead and replace while im there or what. Appreciate any advice.

Where did you source the leather dash if you don’t mind me asking? Also, all the suggestions above are great. When my heater core went out I replaced mine with an eBay entire piece from a 2012 with 20k on it. Did everything at once.

Okautoparts. It’s a local salvage yard here in south MS. The dash is from a 2017 rebel. I’ve actually replaced my headliner, pillars and middle consol from the same vehicle. Looks like a pretty extensive task. Was it a tuff project for you? Any pointers?

It’s actually pretty easy just make sure to get every bolt and every electrical connection. It’s more of a tedious thing but not really a difficult thing.
