Dash speakers and sub box

So I have a couple questions I have the four speaker system in my 07 are there mounting places for the 3.5 in the dash. I have new radio to go in because I like my usb drive in my jvc. but I would like to add on some speakers in my dash to bring the focus a bit up instead of the doors. I will just tap into my front speaker channels and add to my dash but are there mounting locations for the speakers in the dash even though there aren't any there. I would assume so as it would be easier on assembly but just asking if anyone has done this.

Second question is I have an 8 inch kicker solo baric classic (round sub) and want a sealed box for my back seat got a quad cab and have the sub and a memphis audio 500 watt mono block for the sub but want to do the 8 only because i have it and like the light poppy bass not the super huge booming like i had when I had 3 10's in my intrepid.


If anyone has any ideas please help me out been doing this for awhile so I have a minor idea of what is going on, but not in a ram.

I just installed 2 Infinity Kappa in my dash yesterday. There are holes for the speakers, and they are 2 mounting locations to mount them. When you are feeding the wires down the dash, tape them to a screwdriver or something to make your life a bit easier. I'm not to sure about your sub question... someone will chime in shortly.

you just want to install the sub and amp? Easy enough, i did mine in less than an hour, but then another hour for tuning it to sound perfect. but you'll need to buy a nice amp install kit, includes a power wire, ground wire, rca cables and a remote wire.

Thanks guys I figured there were holes for the dash speakers just checking thanks.

I am just wondering if any one has an 8 in their truck and where to get the box, most boxes I have found are for 10 or 12.

Filling the holes in the dash will not make your system sound any better. Spend some money on a nice set of components for the doors instead. Firing speakers into the windshield is never a good idea
