I have a 2013 sport and was thinking of getting rid of the ram 1500 on the doors. Anyone done this and have pics? Also what's the best way to remove it?

i use spiderwire fishing line to remove the badge and a pistripe removal wheel to get off all the goo adhesive. then a little wax n buff to make it look good. i got the wheel from advance auto. was a bit salty though.

This is exactly what I did. Cut them off with fishing line and use a pinstripe removal wheel on a drill. I think I paid $12 for the wheel. Saves a ton of time and is easy.

I used a plastic vinyl tool used to smooth out vinyl to work behind the badges and they came right off. The 3m tape just peeled off as well. It may have helped that it was like 35 degrees :) Then used a little goo gone to get the residue off.

It's all personal taste. They can always be put back on too. They are just taped on.

I used mig welder wire, pulled them away from the doors as I did it, worked great. My truck was built in January so the tape came off easy.

I took off the Hemi and 1500 and then move the Ram over to match the door.

I like how it looks

Like just about everyone else I used fishing line to remove mine and goo remover stuff for the rest.

If you do go that route, just know that it's more about the motion of the sawing then it is the force. I found that long strokes side to side with slight pressure worked better then when you forcefully pull down.

I say go for it. I'll be doing mine this weekend. I will be getting rid of the hemi and 4x4 as well. Should have bought a black edition I guess.

Once you get the badge separated from the adhesive, those pads pull off like 3M command strips if you pull on them.

Did mine last night at -3*. Used fishing line to saw off the lift edge and pull away from tape not towards it and comes off with no goo at all, just a tiny y bit where you first started. 15 min did both sides

Mine are coming off this Summer. Any and all badges that can be removed and not leave a hole or indentation will be gone (leaving the grill badge and the Rams head on the tailgate).
